Perfume That Turns Heads

I'm really attracted to a way a person smells. Like if someone looks like shit and still smells nice, I wouldn't really mind. Vice versa? that would annoy the crap out of me. My mama started me early with perfume, she always used to spray it on us even when we were toddlers. We smelt like a bunch of roses with the hint of baby poop. She's a real lady my mama. I think my love of beauty came from her. And perfume? I have a full 3 cake tier collection of it.

I've gone through probably over 100 different bottles over this lifetime so far, I've bought, been given and am a perfume hoarder. Like I said before "I'd rather look average but smell fantastic", bahahah.

These 3 have really stood out of my collection, and I'll tell you why.

No matter how many different types of perfumes I've come across I've always stuck by my favourite THE ONE BY DOLCE & GABBANA, the gold one OK not the rose, silver etc, just the classic gold. I would strongly recommend this one for anyone. You know how you get some perfume that smells like pepper on old ladies and some other perfumes that smells like you've just shoved cotton candy up your nose or even on rare occasions those perfumes that smell like medication oil? Tiger Balm Eau De Parfum? HAHAH. Well have no fear, Dolce & Gabbana 'The One' does not smell like either.

 Dolce & Gabbana 'The One'

It's lightly sweet, extremely classy, comes across very effortlessly flirty and LASTS FOR AT LEAST TWO DAYS! (well on my skin at least) even after 2 showers daily, I can smell its seductiveness lingering on my skin. AND NO THIS IS NOT AN ADVERT. Real dedicated user here, I've used this since I was 16.

I think its awesome for a job interview or even at board meetings. As it screams this bitch here is a powerhouse yet it is also very glamorous and feminine.

I would also recommend this for dates as it is very sexy and seductive from it's lychee and vanilla notes. My boyfriend likes it, yours better too.

Lastly, I would recommend it for any important event of your life being weddings, proms, birthdays etc. It is definitely a smell with a lasting impression.

212 VIP Rosé by Carolina Herrera

My current new perfume obsession would have to go to 212 VIP Rosé by Carolina Herrera.

This one isn't as strong as the D & G, but is very fresh and floral. It's very subtle but makes a huge difference. I would recommend this for a daytime winter choice. It's like a warm floral blanket on a cold winters morning. sahhhh nice and fresh.

And the bottle is pretty classy, the lid is magnetic therefore it makes for easy open & close. The glass bottle is quite heavy though so not to good for traveling.

Age group? young, fun & determined. Very chic.

Christian Dior '1947'

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE WAS THE CHRISTIAN DIOR '1947', and I write was because it was a limited edition. I first discovered in Changi airport over 10 years ago and EVERY TIME I stop by in Singapore, silly me still hopes for it to be on the same stand at that same big cosmetic duty free counter in terminal 2.

As much as I love the D & G one, I definitely think CD 1947 is a billion times better. Words can't even explain how amazing it was.Even the limited $250 Gucci in Bloom made for Princess Grace of Monaco doesn't even compare. CD 1947 is definitely irreplaceable...my favorite.

Let me know what you thought about my perfume recommendations & fill me in on if they've satisfied your skin's senses hehe.

Australis VS Face of Australia

Transluctent powders!

It's like deodorant for your face ahhaah!!

This is a review between these 2 babies

You know what? When I'm doing product reviews I'm just going to get right in! No blab blab about the packaging (unless its like freaking amazing), long ass descriptions about its descriptions and you know all the annoying things I've seen people do with their precious time pointing out how they love the colour of the font and crap.

Here's to being real & simple. Let's stick with the 5 rule.

Australis: Ready Set Go Finishing Powder

  1. Extremely white & powdery (NOT GOOD FOR FOTO FLASH)
  2. Can be hard to match with natural skin tone
  3. Great if you want to achieve a more brighter / whiter look
  4. $10-$12 for 7.5g
  5. There's better alternatives for the price & quantity on the market!

Face of Australia: Translucent Powder

  1. Smooths and melts into the tone of my skin really well
  2. Looks really natural
  3. Skin remains oil free for the whole duration of cooking in a 180 degrees atmosphere!
  4. Don't buy if your wanting a more brighter luminous look as this is quite natural looking
  5. Definitely worth the $12 for 30g package!

Definitely worth it, is Face of Australia but I would give Australis a miss.

HOWEVER...

My all time favourite face powder would have to be BRTC"s Jasmine Moist Powder

WHY?

  1. Achieves a silky, velvet complexion without drying out my skin!
  2. OMG the feeling after being applied is amazing...its so soothing and cooling on the skin
  3. Looks amazing in reality & in photos
  4. I swear it airbrushes my skin out, I can wear this with just sunscreen & it looks amazing!
  5. I got it at Sasa in Hong Kong, but I think you can get it for $39 on the internet

Here's a picture without any filters, so depending on what look your going for? hope this helps in sketching out what these powders look like on my skin :)

HAPPY DEODERAZING YOUR FACES :P

No more crappy nails!

Just a quick post on how you can make your nails look more pretty!

I'm pretty horrible at nails, especially on my non writing hand.

And when I came across this product:

ESSENCE NAIL POLISH CORRECTOR PEN

I now no longer need to suffer from ugly opposite hand nails gone wild syndrome.

Its really easy to use just erase off the ugly edges with the pen.

And woah la! Nail salon worthy nail edges :) hehe

Here's a better picture of mah sexy non smudged nails

You can get the nail corrector pen at most drugstores. Aussie rainbows can get it at Priceline Pharmacy for about $4, its about half of the price of other brands on the market.

I WAS SO HAPPY WITH IT THAT I MAY EVEN START TRYING CRAZY NAIL ART DESIGNS LIKE THESE SOON! (sorry about the caps lock but I'm rather excited now)

Beauty Bargain!

Priceline Pharmacy was having an awesome promotion the other day, with every purchase of $60 of selected brands, you would receive a free skin care gift bag worth $220!

Thanks to one of my besties I got in on the deal :)

But...

Instead of spending a minimum of $60, I only ended up spending $20.45 to get ALL of these babies!! but Thanks HBF & Priceline I got products worth over $300 for only a fraction of the price, OMG you've made me feel as though I've gotten the best beauty bargain ever.

*FIST PUMPS

So, here's what I got

Body Lotions

I've used the Nivea lotions all the time! Q10 is very moisturizing but I prefer the pure & natural one better it has a fresher smell and lighter application. I haven't used the other three yet but have heard the Vaseline one really helps with dry skin, ooooohhhh myyy gat can't wait to try them all!

Facial/ Body Scrubs

I haven't used any of these but am very excited to use Skin Radiance's gel mask and Down to the pores mud mask, I'm not too keen on biore though, I remember using one of their facial cleansers back when I was a teenager and it really made me breakout? but then again my skin is just too freaking sensitive and thats probably the period of my life when hormones started growing lol, gurrrrrlll was that nasty.

Facial Creams

To be honest, I'm worried about trying new facial creams...as my skin turns into a bubbled tomato whenever I try something new but that aveeno positively radiant eye illuminator looks quite sexy.

Facial Masks

OMG can't wait to use these under eye & neck masks, oooolala lifts and brightens?

Facial Wipes

I don't know why? but I really hope the Yes to blueberries wipes smell like blueberries and the Swisspers cucumber wipes don't smell like cucumbers :/

Lip Balms

I've always been a nivea girl but can't wait to use chapstick's sunscreen lip balm & Palmers sunscreen sticks!

Makeup Brushes

AHHH, I've been wanting to get these real technique brushes for a awhile! but since I don't even use my mac brushes I've been hesitant on buying another bunch of brushes. But oh what the heck, my cousin keeps on raving about how awesome they are! BTW they are on sale at priceline atm for 15% off entire range :) hi5 to me for basically getting them for free though!!!!

Other goodies

I've heard that the doctor lewins bio care oil is like an alternative to bio oil? Nude's toner looks pretty enticing too? being all "naturally sourced ingredients". I use Avene's spring water mist all the time, after a shower and after application of facial products. Sometimes I wonder am I really paying more than $20 for a bottle of water -_-" but then its from France right? everything from France seems to be legit and pretty and so so right :)

Can you believe I got all of this worth $340.45 for only $20.45!!! Wooohooo

I guess looking after your inner and outer health has its bargains! Thank you HBF & PRICELINE :)

P.S I feel like that lady from the IKEA ADS lol!
