For Normal Skin & Mature Skin.
I've heard that this brand was one of the first to make BB Creams, so I was really excited to try it out! It's real vintage beauty shit haha. I wanted something that was popular at the time and apparently this was what most girls in Hong Kong were digging so I gave this a try.
DR JART has many types of BB Creams, this Gold one is one of its higher range ones.
What's in it?
This product emphasizes on its Antioxidant bio-peptides to protect the skin from harsh environmental factors while restoring firmness and elasticity.
Biopeptide : Helps maintain skin elasticity & provides anti aging properties.
EGF : Improves complexion by giving skin a healthy glow.
Acasia collagen : Enhances skin elasticity & improves skin texture.
White gold ingredient : Purify, cleanses & protects the skin from harsh environmental factors.
This formula also features mineral sunscreens to provide broad spectrum sun protection from both UVA and UVB rays.
Some BB Creams only protect us from UVA rays, but this one from DR JART protects us from UVB rays aswell. Basically, UVA ages our skin and UVB rays can really, really burn us.
It's also free from Sulfates (too much of this cleansing agent can dry and irritate the skin) & Phthalates (although this helps extend the shelf life of cosmetics, there's harmful side affects for the frequent use from pregnant women, babies and pubescent young adults).
My Impression?
This BB cream is light weight and leaves skin with a nice glow. It doesn't fully lighten the skin so would look great in summer when we tend to tan a little or those wanting a more sun kissed look. I like it because it has a higher SPF+45 than most other BB creams. The only thing that I don't like about it is that, during a hot day or if you sweat or if your skin tends to get oily and the product gets in your eye, it will freaking sting. I didn't have this problem with the other BB creams.
Does it work?
Yes.
Leaves a nice glow to skin.
Helps maintain skin elasticity (anti aging).
High SPF.
Blends well.
Hurts eyes.
